A Hermione a week! #1

On my instagram (@Tinkercostumes) I asked if you all would like to see  a Hermione a week, meaning a post about each of my Hermione outfits on a weekly basis.

If you don’t already know, I am a huge Emma Watson and Hermione Granger fan and it was this character that got me into costuming so obviously she is my favourite. I am an avid Hermione collector, so there’ll be many outfits to come – and I’m still looking for a lot of pieces! I’ve been collecting since 2010 and it’s taken me until this year to find some of my favourite items such as this one. So, to answer many people’s question – how do you find her clothes? GOOGLE. I never stop looking! I keep tabs on searches for certain items, I’m also not afraid to ask around on Potter fan boards (this is how I zara friable cardigan) So if you share the same Granger passion as me, just keep looking, you’ll find it in the end.

Anyway, onto the actual outfit……

O children
Lift up your voice, lift up your voice
Rejoice, rejoice

This is the outfit she wears when her and Harry dance in the forest in Deathly Hallows part 1. They’ve been left alone in the tent and instead of focusing on hunting for horcruxes, they have a little dance together. It’s probably my favourite scene in the whole franchise. The love and bond between these two characters is shown so beautifully; But we are still reminded of the innocence and vulnerability of these kids. It is such a sweet moment in an otherwise really dark movie.

Emma. Dan. That song. Ugh. I just love it so much.

The checked shirt is by Lee jeans, I managed to find it second hand for £12! I’m not sure if it is the exact one that Emma wears because the colour differs slightly, however the scene is very dark so it could be. I’m not 100% sure.

I hope to get better pictures of the full outfit but my screen accurate boots are missing at the moment, when I find I will get some great shots – promise you!

until next time
